UPDATE ON THE AUSTRALASIAN DERMATOLOGY REGISTRY REPORTING AND ACD CATEGORY 3 POINTS

Clinical registries have been shown to improve patient outcomes by monitoring the quality of care provided, evaluating current and emerging treatments, providing feedback to participating clinics, and supporting clinical research. The Australasian Dermatology Registry has been developed to provide real-world evidence, initially for psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa and vitiligo, to help improve patients’ care and subsequently, quality of life.

Routine analysis and benchmarking of clinical outcomes is vital for improving patient care, which is why it has been included in the Australasian College of Dermatologists’ Continuing Professional Development program.

Utilising registry data analysis and reporting, sites can monitor the clinical outcomes for their individual patients, view the outcome data for treatment within Australia for each of the four diseases, and compare their clinic’s aggregate patient data with the Australasian cohort. Top of Form
